Chain link is the most economical way to enclose a yard, a dog run or a commercial property. We install galvanized and black vinyl-coated chain link in residential and commercial grades across Hernando, Pasco and Citrus County, including repairs to fence that is already standing.
Chain Link Fencing for Every Job, Big or Small
From a 4' dog run in a Spring Hill backyard to a 6' commercial security fence around a Brooksville business, chain link is the most affordable, hardest-working fence there is. Florida Friendly Fencing installs residential and commercial chain link across Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee, and all of Hernando, Pasco, and Citrus counties.
We fence everything from a small pet area to a full property line, in galvanized, black, or green vinyl-coated, with matching walk gates, double drive gates, and rolling gates. Every job is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty. We're Google Verified, BBB A-rated, and a 2-time Hernando Sun Reader's Choice Silver Winner (2025 & 2026).
Chain Link Colors
All three finishes use the same strong steel framework with a top rail, tension bands, and post caps. The difference is the coating.
Black Vinyl-Coated
Our most popular residential choice. Black blends into the landscape so the fence nearly disappears, and the vinyl coating adds rust protection in Florida’s humidity.
Green Vinyl-Coated
Blends with lawns, hedges, and wooded lots. A good fit for rural Hernando County properties and parks.
Galvanized
The classic silver finish and the lowest cost per foot. The standard for commercial, industrial, and budget-friendly residential jobs in Brooksville.

Chain Link Fence Parts, Explained
Knowing the parts helps you compare quotes. Here's what goes into every chain link fence we build in Spring Hill and Brooksville, and what each piece does.
- Terminal posts
- The heavier posts at ends, corners, and gates. They take the strain when the fabric is stretched tight, so we set them deeper in concrete.
- Line posts
- The lighter posts between terminals, usually spaced up to 10’ apart, topped with loop caps that hold the top rail.
- Top rail
- The horizontal pipe across the top that keeps the fence straight and stops the fabric from sagging.
- Fabric (mesh)
- The woven wire itself, in galvanized or black or green vinyl-coated. Heavier gauge means a stronger fence.
- Fabric ties
- Wire ties that fasten the fabric to the line posts and top rail.
- Tension bar & tension bands
- A flat bar woven through the end of the fabric, clamped to the terminal post with tension bands so the mesh stays tight.
- Brace band & rail end
- Hardware that connects the top rail to the terminal post.
- Post caps
- Dome caps on terminal posts and loop caps on line posts keep water out and finish the look.
- Gate hinges & fork latch
- Hinges let the gate swing; a fork latch holds it closed and can be padlocked.
- Bottom rail or tension wire (optional)
- Adds strength along the bottom so dogs can’t push under the fence. A smart add-on for dog runs.

Want More Privacy?
Chain link keeps pets and people where they belong at the lowest cost per foot, but it doesn't block the view. If privacy matters, take a look at our vinyl privacy fences or wood privacy fences. Many customers mix them: privacy along the back line and chain link on the sides, like the black chain link tied into white vinyl in our gallery.
What does a chain link fence cost?
We do not publish a price per foot. What moves a chain link job:
- Height — four foot for a yard, taller for security and commercial work.
- Galvanized or black vinyl-coated — black costs more and looks far better.
- Residential or commercial grade — heavier pipe, heavier fabric, different price.
- Total footage and corners — terminal posts at every corner and end add up.
- Gates — walk gates and double drive gates, and how wide they are.
- The site — rock, roots, slope, and access for equipment.
Repairs are priced separately and carry a minimum charge.
